As Pet Care Plus continues to grow and evolve, we are pleased to introduce Dr. Kelsey Hikade, DVM, a dedicated and compassionate member of our veterinary team.

Dr. Hikade earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020 and has been committed to delivering thoughtful, comprehensive medical care ever since. She believes veterinary medicine is built on partnership — combining strong clinical standards with clear communication and genuine compassion.

Her professional interests include general wellness, feline medicine, hospice and end-of-life care. Dr. Hikade is especially known for her calm, supportive approach and her ability to guide families through both routine visits and life’s most difficult decisions with empathy, dignity, and respect.

As part of our continued commitment to providing consistent, high-quality urgent and general veterinary care to our community and referring partners, we are confident that Dr. Hikade strengthens our mission and medical standards.

Dr. Hikade lives in Davison with her husband, Robert, their two children, Reagan and Beau, and their rescue cat, Meatball 🐱. She has a soft spot for welcoming unique pets into her life and recently said goodbye to a beloved house sparrow who was part of her family for 11 years — a true reflection of her deep love for animals of all kinds.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys home renovation projects and holds a certification in interior design. She loves finding inspiration on Pinterest, is an avid reader, enjoys music and yoga, and spends meaningful time with family and friends. She is also an enthusiastic home baker with a passion for sourdough.

We are grateful to have Dr. Hikade as part of our growing medical team and look forward to continuing to serve our patients with professionalism, compassion, and consistency.

Dr. Dunckel serves as the Medical Director and lead surgeon at Pet Care Plus, bringing extensive experience in both general practice and advanced surgical care. Throughout his career, he has successfully owned and operated one of the area’s most well-respected veterinary hospitals, earning a reputation for excellence and compassionate care.

With specialized training in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, Dr. Dunckel has developed a strong passion for knee procedures, particularly Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) surgeries. His skill and precision in orthopedic surgery have helped countless pets return to comfortable, active lives.

Although he now enjoys spending more time pursuing his passions for golf and travel, Dr. Dunckel remains deeply committed to veterinary medicine. He continues to perform advanced surgical procedures for select hospitals, including right here at Pet Care Plus.

We are proud to have Dr. Dunckel as part of our team, where he steps in whenever needed to provide high-quality surgical care for our patients and support for our community veterinarians.

Amanda Pruett is the proud Owner and Office Manager of Pet Care Plus, bringing over 13 years of experience in veterinary medicine to the clinic. She has been working in veterinary care since 2005, starting right out of high school in the boarding department of a local veterinary clinic, where her passion for animals and client care first began.

Amanda truly loves everything about the veterinary field—from working with pet owners and supporting her team to caring for animals in need. She created Pet Care Plus with a vision: a place she could come to every day and genuinely enjoy, surrounded by people who love what they do and share a common purpose—providing compassionate care when it’s needed most.

She is deeply connected to the community she serves and strongly believes that small veterinary clinics need to stick together to ensure all animals receive the care they deserve.

Amanda lives with her husband and their two children, along with two spoiled dogs and two spoiled cats.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, camping, spending time on the boat, and being with her family, making memories—because at the end of the day, that’s what matters most.

Danielle graduated from the Baker College Veterinary Technician Program in 2008 and has been dedicated to helping animals ever since. With a strong passion for continuing education and surgery, she loves expanding her knowledge and being part of advanced procedures that make a real difference in our patients’ lives.

When she’s not caring for your pets, Danielle is busy loving on her own crew at home! 🏡 She lives in Davison with her fiancé and their two kids — plus a full house of fur babies:

Carrie brings over 15 years of experience in veterinary medicine and a true passion for caring for animals to Pet Care Plus. She is a proud graduate of Baker College, where she earned her degree and began building the strong foundation that makes her such an incredible Licensed Veterinary Technician today.

Carrie lives in Davison with her husband and their beloved cat, Wasabi 🐱 (yes, we love that name too!).

She absolutely loves working hands-on with animals and takes great pride in making sure every patient feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether she’s assisting in procedures, comforting a nervous pet, or educating owners, Carrie’s calm and compassionate presence shines through.

When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll likely find her enjoying the outdoors — she loves walking, being outside, and soaking up fresh air whenever she can. 🌿☀️

We are so excited to have Kalla as part of our Pet Care Plus family and to continue watching her grow in her experience!

Kalla has 8 years of experience in the veterinary field, starting her career in emergency medicine, where she developed a strong foundation in fast-paced, critical care. She has now been with Pet Care Plus for 3 years, and we are so thankful for her dedication, skill, and heart for our patients.

Kalla jumped on board ready and willing to help wherever she is needed. She prides herself on knowing that pets come to us needing the very best supportive care so they can be safely reunited with their families. Providing compassionate, attentive care is what drives her every day. 🐾❤️

Outside of work, Kalla enjoys spending time with her husband and their son and daughter💕 Family means everything to her.

She is also passionate about competing in rodeos 🐎 and loves spending time with her animals. At home, she has one dog named— Nook,two cats named Turkey, and Little — and three horses — Cowboy, Ziggy, and Waylon.

Kelly has been in veterinary medicine for 18 years, and her passion for animals shines through in everything she does. With nearly two decades of experience, she brings knowledge, confidence, and a whole lot of heart to our team at Pet Care Plus.

Kelly has a special place in her heart for senior pets and guiding families through every life stage with compassion, dignity, and understanding. She also loves surgery — being part of the team that helps pets heal and get back to feeling their best is one of her favorite parts of the job.

At home, Kelly is kept busy by her family and her adorable (and slightly chaotic 😉) crew:

👑 Jersey (8–9 years old) – the small terrier mix who proudly runs the household

🐶 Zero (4 years old) – full of bull terrier personality

🐶 Hank (almost 1 year old) – the youngest bull terrier and definitely keeping everyone on their toes

Kriss has been in the veterinary field for over 23 years, and her passion for animals and people shines through in everything she does. With more than two decades of experience, she brings knowledge, compassion, and professionalism to every client interaction.

As one of our amazing Client Service Representatives, Kriss is often the first friendly face you see and the reassuring voice you hear on the phone. She understands how stressful it can be when a pet isn’t feeling well, and she works hard to make every visit smooth, welcoming, and supportive from start to finish.

Kriss truly loves what she does. Helping both pets and their people is more than a job to her — it’s a calling. Her calm demeanor, attention to detail, and genuine care make her an invaluable part of our Pet Care Plus family.

Outside of work, Kriss enjoys spending time with her family and her three dogs. Her love for animals doesn’t stop at the clinic — it’s part of who she is.

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Kristin Hart, RDMS, RVT, RTR, owner and operator of Advanced Veterinary Ultrasound, LLC! Kristin is a multi-boarded ultrasonographer with an impressive background and over 25 years of experience in level IV ultrasound.

Kristin graduated from Henry Ford Hospital with a background in human ultrasound and later cross-trained into veterinary ultrasound under the guidance of board-certified veterinary radiologists and various veterinary specialists from Michigan, Illinois, California, and Texas. In addition to her extensive training, Kristin has also held administrative and teaching positions within hospitals.

Since 2006, Kristin has provided mobile veterinary ultrasound services, bringing state-of-the-art imaging directly to veterinary practices. Her precision and expertise have been proven in countless cases, with a high level of clinical and surgical correlation. Kristin’s studies have also been AAHA approved through Veterinary Care Specialists in Milford, Michigan.
